Not all the ICOM radios will work with the 12v battery packs either! Don't try it with a IC-2AT or IC-4AT, for instance. ICOM originally did not make a 12v pack, but added it after introducing the IC-02. The earlier radios don't have a charging/external power jack either, although ICOM did make a 12v to 9.6v converter which fits on the bottom of the radio like a battery. 73, Bob w6swe@tapr.org ------------------------------ Date: 31 May 1994 22:16:02 GMT From: ihnp4.ucsd.edu!usc!cs.utexas.edu!swrinde!hopper.acm.org!ACM.ORG!MANGEFESTE@network.ucsd.edu Subject: Jnos for SunOS To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu As the above title mentions, I am looking for Jnos or some comparable Packet BBs software to run on SunOS. To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu I can't seem to find jnos for unix. If you know where I may find the latest copy please let me know. Also, could I get an opinion on which 9600bps TNC to buy if I want to put up a 440mhz internet gateway? I used to have this problem with a monitor that was about 6-feet from the rig. I attached some wire to a piece of aluminum foil, and wrapped the connector at the back of the monitor. I then cut the wire in increments until the noise was diminished. Still had RFI, but changed the frequency of it. At one time, I had a computer that would totally wipe out a TV set that was two rooms away. THAT is RFI. s ------------------------------ Date: 31 May 1994 17:30:55 GMT From: ihnp4.ucsd.edu!library.ucla.edu!europa.eng.gtefsd.com!news.umbc.edu!haven.umd.edu!darwin.sura.net!spitfire.navo.navy.mil!news@network.ucsd.edu Subject: XPCOMM...
